Elizabeth Deane has had over 30 years’ experience in the Higher Education sector. Her experience spans roles in teaching, research and senior management positions including Foundation Head of Department; Head of School; Dean of Faculty and Pro-Vice Chancellor Education and Students. Deane holds a PhD from the University of Sydney and was until her progression into senior management, an active, funded researcher and postgraduate student supervisor in the area of developmental immunology and disease. Elizabeth has also held a number of national and international competitive grants for research into Learning, Teaching and Higher Education.
Since retiring in 2015 Elizabeth has continued her active engagement with the sector. She has undertaken a number of institutional reviews addressing such diverse areas as Students Support Services; Governance and IT provision and continues to be an international reviewer for the Scottish, New Zealand and PNG Higher Education quality assurance agencies. Deane is actively engaged in supporting Higher Education Private Providers and is a member or chair of a number of academic and governance boards of existing and aspiring providers. She is also currently Chair of the WSU Human Research Ethics committee. Elizabeth currently Chairs the Gateway Governing Council.
Professor Lok has wide knowledge in management education and vast experience in business consulting. Prof. Lok teaches and researches in the areas of strategic management, international business, corporate strategy and change and Asian business and has worked globally in different management positions and regularly publishes in peer reviewed journals such as Journal of management studies, International journal of Human Resource Management, Applied Psychology & Journal of e-commerce studies. His previous academic positions include University of Sydney-GSB, University of NSW-AGSM, and University of South Australia-IGSB. He has participated in Academic Boards, Research committees, Boards of management, Editorial Boards and Governance Councils.
Extensive policy development and compliance management experience, Vishal Verma has advanced understanding of marketing and compliance of Australian tertiary education through direct involvement and formative learnings. He successfully operated and conducted internal audits, budgeting and financial forecasts on different industries including man power management, education, telecom and hospitality. Vishal has done Master of Professional Accounting from University of Western Sydney and possesses advanced understanding of financial management including cash flow, venture capital and corporate finance.
Susan has been a registered auditor and professional development workshop facilitator with Department of Education & Communities NSW – 2012 – 2015 and actively involved in industry networks and chaired and served on many committees. Susan was involved in development and maintenance of national industry qualifications and competency standards for the tourism, hospitality, events and caravan industries. Sudan has also developed national curricula, assessments and training products and services for the service and other industries and worked as a qualified auditor with education providers, government and industry on a wide range of projects. Susan specialises in compliance and has delivered professional development workshops nationally for DET & ACPET.
Ravish has worked for over 10 years’ in senior management role within Australian education sector having advanced understanding and expertise in regulatory compliance, course accreditation and re-registration. Ravish has been part of different community groups and been part of national and international education marketing campaigns. As an academic leader Ravish has continually achieved 100% students and peer satisfaction rates through his collaborations. He possesses advanced knowledge and understanding of Australian migration law, student visa regulations and compliances, ESOS act, National Code, CRICOS administration, PRISMS and different student database management systems.
